The Outlook Fund

A National Model

The Outlook Fund in Cambridgeshire is, so far as we are aware, the UK's first charitable fund to have a focus on looked after children. We believe that the benefits which the Outlook Fund will bring to looked after children and other disadvantaged children in Cambridgeshire could be repeated by establishing similar funds around the country, and we hope this may happen in the future. We see ourselves as a national model, and would be very glad to give advice to those setting up similar funds elsewhere.

Community Foundations that have already shown interest in replicating the Outlook Fund include:

Heart of England Community Foundation. This operates in Warwickshire and Coventry.

Thames Community Foundation. This operates in the London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Hounslow, Kingston, Merton, Richmond, Sutton and Wandsworth.

The Outlook Fund works to improve the lives of Cambridgeshire children facing difficulty and disadvantage, with a focus on the more than 400 looked after children.
The Outlook Fund is administered by the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation.
